Session 5 Day 5

YES! Mentos and Diet Coke, raisins and 7 Up, and sand castle volcanoes. Sweet. Today was more fun, but I'm still glad it's over.

Cooper and Yan are adorable though.

Session 5 Day 4

Everyone else is back from break and the REAL session 5 has started. Horizon has 2 cabins, ChillE and Gex. Gross.

I told Mealy I miss her.

Forgot to mention: Kuma and I talked a lot (while buzzed at Callisto's parents' place) and we're cool now. He's lost so much weight! We all have. I'm really glad. :)

I can't wait until this is over with. Nothing of note ever happens.

Session 5 Day 3

Field trip day! Only I was paired with Jellyfish. Gross. She was her usual self.

Day Camp is still boring.

This girl Campbell fell asleep on me on the bus. Kawaii!

Day Camp is lame. BORING. Ugh. Why did I ask for this.

Ooblik is so weird. (It's Science Experiment Week.) Non-Newtonian fluids. Hmm.

Session 4 Day 4/Session 5 Day 1

Yay they're gone. I did what I could to help, but I was kind of useless at cleaning.

BG and I left for the night. I need some R+R.

Color Wars kept me up yesterday, but I spent the night in Medamin. BG brought me breakfast in bed, aww.

Woke up feeling like shit.

Session 4 Day 1

Back to Horizon! :) I got back this morning and it's POURING outside. Bacon's been having major issues with her cabin (one girl was moved to Woodstock's, two have contracts and four have had phone calls home), so I was hanging out with her cabin most of the day.

I had to cover a STO for Martian randomly; he didn't let me know where to meet him or anything. Bacon's cabin watched Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.

When I found Martian, his cabin was in WoHeLo with 3 other cabins (ChillE, Rabbit and Woodstock) all over each other, hugging, back massages, ugh. And no one bothered to stop it. We sat in there for 30 minutes before everyone went back to their cabins. I just worked on friendship bracelets, took a cellphone away from one, whatever.

Mealy was planning Color Wars with Lille, Papa Steve, Dodger, etc. so she couldn't much deal with it. She did make all 57 kids in Horizon clean the Froozie (Fruzie?), which was hilarious. These kids are hellions.

Session 3 Day 6

Megan's begun clinging to me because I give everyone else attention. Bah. This day went fast, we got Grace on the van without crying like she was last night. :o Elizabeth left with her mom (yay!) and I rode the Boata with the rest of the girls.

It was like Boata lite. Half the kids, half the drama, half the parents to check out. Only Ana introduced me to her parents. I saw Fiona's dad, he looked like a good guy.

I totally spaced about this, but Erika almost got seriously hurt in the Orchard. Elizabeth pushed her into the tree while she was running yesterday. Bitch. Duckie came out and Doug checked her. She was fine.

I'm just home for the night, talked to Pat and he gave BG and I a ride home. I'm kinda sad to be halfway through the summer, but I'm anxious to get back to Horizon.

Session 3 Day 5

Tiny quit at some point during the session; I don't remember if it was today or not. Issues with his girl or something, wedding coming up, blah blah. He left me his phone number, I'll call him someday.

So after recovering from our overnight, the girls didn't get a whole lot of sleep; sleep-in breakfast wasn't much of a sleep in. Wail lunch was mascot themed, so Misty Mountain was the Misty Moustaches with everyone with a drawn-on moustache thanks to Baby Giant. It was nuts, BG was all over the place.

I had two meltdowns today. The first one was at the end of my STO with Erika; Megan had been teasing her or something and Erika flipped out. Misty pretty much missed flag because of that and Baby Giant not feeling well (like almost fainting twice).

The second was after Candlelight dinner with Fiona. She was upset over so many things and they all came pouring out at once. Her parents work a lot and she's too young to do the volunteer work her mom/sister do. :( I wish they would've been able to have naps.

Our dreamboat was amazing! They decorated the fuck out of it with all sorts of stuff, but when it came time to sail, it tipped right over. It was so top-heavy it just bloop -- right upside down. Ana tried to right it but it didn't work out. So I just watched it float around, and pieces started coming off, and I said "kind of reminds me of this week." Haha. :)

Council fire was boring. BBH hosted and did the stupid string thing. Whatev.

I let them stay up and tell ghost stories because we had our meeting. Megan was calmer, thank fuck.

Session 3 Day 4

Fiona is Megan's new BFF. These girls are ridiculous. Elizabeth has been freaking out over being Ana's friend and there's been note-writing yesterday that Hoopz and Robin had to put a stop to.

Grace and Samantha got homesick but it didn't last too long. Grace had a black facepaint moustache on and her tears smearing it down her face are an image I will have burned into [my] mind for a long time.

The dinner in Misty Lodge was hellacious. MJ decided to give us not enough Mac + cheese so there was nothing to eat for BG and I.

So he ran down to Rounds, stole us food, and ran back. Fufufu. :3

We had hot cocoa, danced, drew a lot, and then grabbed our packs and went to the bench circle in the Orchard.

While the kids were sleeping, BG and I talked a lot about Josiah, I told him the short version of the him and I story, and he was like "finally Pokemon makes sense." It was a good thing that I've explained all of this to him. I don't want anything to happen with Conrad.

His smell isn't attractive to me. I don't like being enveloped in it. That enough is a sign to me.

So the family of Raccoons came out and visited up, and then we fell asleep.

And then it rained.

A lot.

3:30 am 8 girls wake up cranky and soaking wet, and Baby Giant had to run up the hill to check on the other cabins. We gave my cabin blankets to sleep with in their beds and I attempted to get them to sleep more.

Then Megan saw a moth and FREAKED OUT. Fuck. She is so annoying.

4:45 am she's finally asleep and now I can too. Ugh.

Session 3 Day 3

ADA is bullshit and eats children. I swear to god, Megan and Jennifer go in there together and never come back out.

The overnight is tomorrow night and it's been pretty nice lately. We're camping out in the Orchard, probably looking at cooking in Misty Lodge.

Megan and Ana are now magically not friends. Wtf. And Megan even switched beds to be next to her in the cabin. Whatever.

Session 3 Day 2

They love playing pretend with being different animals. One girl would not get out of my lap, she was being a tiger cub or something.

I had to take my STO during swim checks, which means of course that there was utter chaos. Fiona got up to her knees and then freaked out and ran. Poor Hoops and Baby Giant had to chase her down. As I was told, she resisted for a few seconds and then sprinted right in, dunked her head, then ran out again.

M had to yank some other girls out (like Megan, if I remember correctly) because they got in and then froze up. Boo.

The girls spill all the damn time too. Unopened milk cartons should not be put at Misty tables. Guh.

So the counselors/interns at the Misty/Milky porch never lead songs, it's pretty fucking annoying. I tried to get Switch to sing with me and she just stood there at the front doing nothing. Ridiculously annoying. Not even Daisy sings. -_-

Session 3 Day 1

Oh and Megan threw up. All over the only entrance to the cabins we can use right now.

Session 2 Day 7

Sad, sad day.

The other boys Alan and Brian gave Alonzo shit about wanting to be an intern while I was gone taking care of the Winter thing. ([I can't actually elaborate on this as I did in the journal because it involves a CPS report.]) I told them off and reassured Alonzo.

We gave Alonzo BG's Daft Punk CD as a going away present, he loved it. I wished him the best, told him how far he had come and how much I supported him coming back next year as an intern. He and I both cried a little and he hung over the bow of the boat waving as they left.

I will miss him a lot.

Session 2 Day 6

So we went funyaking, and by funyaking I mean me and Z did while Alonzo kept falling out every minute. He ended up getting too cold, so we got him some blankets and I walked him to the showers in Village. He stayed in there for like 45 minutes.

(Actually, I think this happened yesterday...)

Today Alonzo was seriously acting up, and he had a really rough time during and after wail lunch. (He missed his meds last night, totally my fault.) I tried to help him out, but after Candlelight dinner and council fire, I pulled him aside.

We talked about his day and why he was acting up. He said he was having a bad day and knew he wasn't doing well controlling himself. And apologized. And apparently there had been an issue with Rabbit and Alonzo on my STO and Alonzo apologized to Rabbit on his own without me saying anything. Aww. <3

Aside note: Chill E got here a day ago and slept in my cabin last night. Alonzo gave him attitude and screamed "I want my OoLONG!" In the cabin.

I'm so proud of him.

Session 2 Day 5

Forgot to mention: challenge course with these guys was hilarious! We were doing the spiderweb and Alonzo was like "no I can do it guys, I'm just gonna jump through" and Mealy and I were like, oh shit. So he jumped through.

And broke part of it.

Oh god, while singing the Charlie's Angels theme. It was hilarious.

Not much today, just coming back down, unpacking, went to arts + crafts and did some tile cement work. (that, in hindsight, I never picked up. oops.)

Session 2 Day 4

More working on stuff today with Alonzo. We had our overnight tonight; smooshed into a campsite with Schoobie and Wave's cabins. (Volleyball, ages 12-14). Three boys and how many girls? I thought it was going to be a problem, but they got along pretty well. Tried to do a nighthike, but they were way too wound up; two girls pushed another girl into one of my boys, and there was a lot of blood. He cut his tongue and she cut her forehead on his braces. Boo. So we cut it short and sent them to bed.

And then we made counselor tarp. :)

Spree, Kuma, Kiki, Schoobie, me, and then new permarover for village (Raquet). It was pretty good times, even if I was the first person to fall asleep...

And we didn't get rained out or anything!

Session 2 Day 3

Alonzo and I have been talking about his home life; he's been through a lot. His real dad abused his mom, and one day he snapped and beat his dad with a chair and then called the cops on him. He's in jail now and he lives with his stepdad, who sent him to camp. That's a lot to swallow for me, but I understand more where he's coming from now.

We've already been over how he knows that he loses control and agreed that I would let him know when he was getting that way. So far he's been pretty un CA but I know that it's going to take some trying to get used to it.

Session 2 Day 2

Haha what. Alonzo is freaking hilarious be he's SO inappropriate. :x The other 2 boys are meh. He really does need a lot of supervision. He has this whole Bobby/Whitney thing that he won't just up about.

Brian and Alan have their 10th year at Sealth this summer, and even though the math doesn't add up (they're 13 and 14) we're still giving it to them.

Oh my GOD I wanted to kill Martian today. He walked off with two of my girls and I couldn't find them for 45 minutes. Mealy ended up giving them to Martian anyway because he requested them wtf? I don't know.

I also got a surprise; one of my campers who didn't have anything on his reg form ended up with ADD, ADHD, bipolar and not listening to authority figures he doesn't know. Yay.

I hate surprises.

In-service Day 2

Flirt back I guess? I don't know. Josiah's been in California with his friends and hopefully he hooked up with someone. At the same time, I really hope he doesn't. Things are still weird and probably won't get any better until we either get back together (possible) or we just never talk to each other ever again (probably not).

I don't, I've got all these thoughts scooting around in my head, eluding me. I keep trying to get around to pinning them down but I can never get hold of any of them.

The thought of him being with anyone is both unsettling and cathartic. I wish it would just happen so that we could both move on. Always doing things together, even now. It's weird...

I still wonder who the mystery girl is. A crush? I don't know. An internet girlfriend? Hmm.

It upsets me to think about it. I don't like the idea of us being in weird sorts of purgatory still, after almost a year. Sometimes it's like we never broke up.
